Be You

“Starting at a young age up until adulthood, we were constantly told to be ourselves. So what if we haven’t found our true self yet? This is why we have individuals with such great potential sink in as if this corrupt world was quicksand with the rest of the others they were not supposed to be around. They act like them, talk like them, and dress like them. 

I wish people knew that true happiness isn’t found in someone else’s shoes. It’s better to be lost wearing your own shoes than it is to be going down a path that is not yours, wearing shoes that don’t even fit. But everyone else is wearing them, right?
